" Mercy " was created while I was in Glasgow, Scotland studying abroad at the Glasgow Print Studio. Four layers were used to create this piece. This work compares the life of a knight to that of a wounded dog. The sword in this piece is called the "Curtana" or the "Sword of Mercy". It is a part of the Crowned Jewels of the United Kingdom and the tip of the blade has been squared off.
