" Within " is an acrylic piece with accents in marker and colored pencil completed in March of 2025. This was the first piece specifically for my current body of work " Searching... ". It explores the relationship I have with my own body during the creation process by abstracting myself to the point where I became an organic pattern rather than a person. At this time in my career I was still developing my own distinct style and many dynamics found here would greatly influence my future work. This work is a part of my upcoming exhibition called " Searching... " that will be on display in April of 2026 in the John J McDonough Museum of Art.
